The Barn at Southern Grace has been very busy. We hosted another gorgeous all-inclusive wedding, photographed by Rayna Paige Photography.
The couple both led very active lives. The groom is a teacher and the bride is a grad student. They didn’t have much time to devote to wedding planning, so they chose to allow the Barn at Southern Grace to handle it for them. The groom handled the majority of the decision-making for the bride, a gesture not often seen. As always, we took care of the rest to take the stress away. The day began with hair and makeup by a local hair designer. The bridal party then got ready in our gorgeous and newly remodeled honeymoon suite at the venue’s on-site bed and breakfast. The bride and groom opted to do an intimate first look before the ceremony began. The photographer beautifully captured the emotions between the adorable couple.
Guests arrived and made their way to their seats. The couple chose the back lawn to have the ceremony. The backdrop to their wedding was a magnificent woods line. They chose an arbor adorned with fresh hydrangeas and burlap. The aisle was beautifully decorated with rustic metal buckets overflowing with baby’s breath flowers. The bridal party was given their custom bouquets that featured an abundance of hydrangeas, roses and greenery, created by our florist. Their family and friends sat as the couple exchanged their vows.
After the ceremony concluded, guests were welcomed into the exquisitely decorated barn. They were able to cool off in the air conditioning while Andrew and Markie finished family photos outside featuring the magnificent scenery and the pond. The tables were elegantly set with distinctive antique china and silver chargers. The aroma of the apricot-braised pork loin and ginger-glazed carrots filled the room. The guests were served the decadent full course meal prepared by the on-site chef. Once everyone finished eating, the excitement began. Andrew and Markie shared a very emotional first dance. A lovely father-daughter dance followed.
The night was filled with lots of laughter. The scrumptious cake, baked by a famous cake designer who has been featured on the Food Channel, sat on a rustic whiskey barrel. The cake was decorated with white roses and more of the fresh hydrangeas. Andrew and Markie cut the cake and the guests were each served a piece by the servers.
The m/c directed a hilarious shoe game which kept all the guests engaged. The rest of the night was packed with dancing and entertainment. There was a captivating sparkler exit.
The guests still rave about how charming the wedding was. The food and beauty happen to be the most talked about. We were honored to be chosen to host this gorgeous wedding along with the hundreds of other weddings we’ve completed.
